Every year The Tree Council mounts its national Community Action Programme – Seed Gathering Season, National Tree Week, the Tree Care Campaign and Walk in the Woods; initiatives aimed at involving as many as possible in planting, caring for and enjoying trees and woods.
Tree Council member organisations as well as our 8,000 volunteer Tree Wardens are all heavily involved in our Community Action Programme, helping us reach out to large groups of people and ensuring maximum activity throughout the country. Schools and community groups that have received funds for tree planting through our grants programme are all encouraged to organise fun and worthwhile events, for National Tree Week as well as the other initiatives.
Interested in organising an event? Then please read about our individual initiatives. Each page has activity ideas to get you inspired, with useful tips on how to organise and register your event - so that people in your area can come and join you!
