Take action to protect trees.

Trees do so much for us, but they need our help too. And there are many exciting and rewarding ways you can help us to plant, protect and promote the importance of trees at a local and national level.

Make a donation

Donate to The Tree Council and we will use your generosity to plant, care for and protect trees at a local level, through our volunteers and community programmes and at a national level through advocacy, science & research and our network of members.

Become a Tree Warden

Become a volunteer Tree Warden

Being a Tree Warden is all about making trees matter in your local area. This vital role enables people like you to play an active part in conserving and enhancing the trees and woods that you see and enjoy in your community every day.

Campaign with the Tree Council

Take part in an event

We run seasonal campaigns that get people engaged with trees throughout the year, including Walk In The Woods, Seed Gathering Season and National Tree Week. We can also help you organise your own events.

Visit remarkable trees

Explore beautiful trees in your local area using our interactive map. You’ll also find links to 60 educational tree planting stories, inspired by the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and carried out by volunteers in communities across the UK.

Corporate partnerships

We work with ethical businesses to help them ‘give back’ to trees as part of their corporate social responsibility.

Apply for a community grant

We provide grants to UK schools and community groups every year to plant thousands of trees, hedges and orchards and turn students into tree champions!
