A big thank you to all the volunteers from Kiwa, National Highways, Network Rail, Savills, SP Energy Networks, Tracklements and Witley Jones who have joined us so far this spring and summer for volunteering days across the country.
In April, we returned to Oakbrook Community Farm, Stroud, for a day of mulching, young tree care and learning about biodynamic farming.
We were joined in Glasgow in June by teams from Savills and SP Energy Networks, for two days at Elder Park, where we supported the restoration of the onsite tree nursery, weeded newly planted hedgerow whips & learnt about the impact climate change is having on the trees within the park.
And finally, an intrepid team from Savills joined us in the New Forest National Park earlier this month to test The Tree Council’s new tree survival app, helping us to gather tree and hedgerow data in support of our research project.
