This autumn has seen a bumper crop of volunteering, with days taking place in Leeds, Edinburgh, Manchester, Petersfield and London. Over seven days, our community partners have benefitted from 675 hours of volunteered time from our corporate partners!
Since September, 124 enthusiastic team members have joined us for vital tree care, including mulching and weeding; litter picking; habitat management and restoration; clearing of invasive species; seed gathering; tree survival monitoring and, most recently, some early hedgerow planting.
A big thank you to all the volunteers from Avison Young, Breedon, C Hoare & Co, Ground Control, HGH, LaSalle, Network Rail, The OCM, Savills, SP Energy Networks, Vanquis and Womble Bond Dickinson who have joined us this autumn for volunteering days across the country.
As the days draw in and the temperatures drop, we’re now looking forward to winter tree planting season, which kicks off with National Tree Week – taking place between 22-30 November.
