Once your seeds begin to germinate, check them regularly (at least weekly at first) to keep the growing medium moist and monitor for mould or decay.
As germination proceeds, you’ll want to “pot on” seedlings into larger pots or modules when they develop their first true leaves, helping them build a stronger root system.

Record the progress carefully — note dates, seed origin, container type, and any treatments — so you can track your growing success and adapt your schedule.
Finally, plan your timetable around seasonal changes, giving enough time for stratified species to break dormancy, germinate, and then grow on before moving into final growing beds or planting out.

Make sure your nursery has reliable watering systems, and monitor their effectiveness. Set up rotas and keep records so every plant gets the water it needs.
Have systems in place for weeding, such as mulching, manual removal, or no-dig methods, avoiding chemicals where possible.
Regularly check for pests and diseases by inspecting leaves, stems, and bark each week.
Prevent potential problems by keeping beds weed-free, maintaining good airflow, and watering at soil level rather than on leaves.
Routine monitoring, combined with good care and hygiene, helps keep your seedlings healthy and thriving.
