The Ash Dieback Action Plan Toolkit brings together guidance and case studies from local authorities in England and Wales already tackling the issue. It was prepared by The Tree Council and Fera Science Limited (formerly the Food and Environment Research Agency) with the support of the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra),
It contains resources and materials created by Local Authorities and other agencies as they prepared to manage the impacts of ash dieback. These examples are presented throughout the report. They are mostly works in progress and supplied with the generous agreement of the agencies and bodies who created them. We hope to receive feedback from others as they develop their own ADAPs.
Through this process, ash dieback best practice will develop and as new materials or amendments to these examples become available, we will update this document. This Toolkit is a step-by-step guide to producing an effective ADAP and includes examples from Local Authorities who are currently active in managing their ash trees.
