SUMMARY:Coppicing Day at Hazeland
DESCRIPTION:Come and join us to help us coppice the hazel in and around the forest school area at Hazeland.  You will learn this important skill which helps to rejuvenate the trees and also lets light onto the forest floor improving it for biodiversity. \nThere may also be the chance to carry out a harvest mouse nest survey. \nThere may also be other maintenance tasks to be completed over the course of the day. \nAll are welcome!! No experience necessary!! You must be over 18 years old for this opportunity. \nThis site is between Calne and Chippenham. You must sign up to the event using our volunteer portal via the link provided.
