SUMMARY:Looking After Trees In Maryport
DESCRIPTION:Come and care for a young woodland in Maryport \nTwo summers on\, the trees we planted together at Camp Farm with the Cultura Trust and RAISE: Cumbria Community Forest in spring 2024 are growing strong – and now it’s time to give them a little extra care. Whether you helped plant them or are joining us for the first time\, everyone is welcome to take part. \nTogether we’ll be: \n\nChecking on each tree’s progress\nPlanting replacements where needed\nRemoving weeds to give the trees space to grow\nFixing stakes and tubes for protection\n\n📍 Where to find us:\nOpposite Nether Hall School. Coming from Maryport on foot\, turn left opposite the School. You can also park at the school and walk up to meet us. \n🌿 What to expect:\nThe site can be wet\, muddy and chilly\, so dress for the weather and bring sturdy footwear. There are no toilets or running water on site – please plan ahead. \n⏰ Drop in any time:\nStay for the whole session or just pop by for as long as you can – every bit of help makes a difference. \nThis is a friendly\, hands-on day where you can connect with nature\, meet others\, and be part of helping the trees thrive. If you have any questions\, feel free to message us.
