Hereford City Tree Trail

Recommended walk

Self-guided city tree trail drawn up by Herefordshire Tree Warden, Nic Howes and Herefordshire Council. Each tree has short descriptive notes and the trail includes both native and unusual ornamental species e.g. an ash-leaved maple, a large tulip tree, and an ancient willow pollard as well as avenues of beech and lime. The walk is circular and takes in the city walls, Cathedral Close and the banks of the River Wye crossing at Victoria Bridge. An accessible walk that’s easy to adapt and join where you wish.
