A self-guided city tree trail that Herefordshire Tree Warden, Nic Howes, was commissioned to draw up by Herefordshire Council for members of the public. Each tree has short descriptive notes and the trail includes both native and unusual ornamental species e.g. an ash-leaved maple, a large tulip tree, and an ancient willow pollard as well as avenues of beech and lime. The walk is circular and takes in the city walls, Cathedral Close and the banks of the River Wye crossing at Victoria Bridge. An accessible walk that’s easy to adapt and join where you wish. Navigate using your mobile device.
