About this walk:

This walk looks at the amazing and surprising trees hidden away in the town centre and the district of Coley. Many years ago there were large houses belonging to wealthy merchants who planted trees fashionable at the time – many of them have survived to magnificent mature trees. The walk is led by Adrian Lawson, naturalist and author of The Shady Side of Town: Reading’s Trees. Booking essential at rtwn2011@gmail.com. Donations to Reading Tree Wardens welcome. This is one of seven urban and riverside walks overseen by walks leader Anna Iwaschkin. (download at the walks link on www.readingtreewardens.org.uk)
