A series of tree trail leaflets produced by volunteers from Sidmouth Arboretum, the UK’s first Civic Arboretum. Sidmouth and the Sid Valley has a rich and varied treescape, the town has several tree collections open to the public and the countryside is true rolling Devon. The valley was declared a Civic Arboretum in 2012 and people are encouraged to enjoy being with the trees.

The trails range from a 1km fully accessible trail around the centre of the town to the more challenging 6km Salcombe Regis Trail which includes a steep climb on the SW Coast Path to the panoramic views from the top of the cliff that towers over the eastern side of Sidmouth.

Each Friday the beginning of April until the end of October there is a guided tree walk around the town starting from Sidmouth Museum. The walk lasts 2 hours and is fully accessible. There is a charge of £2.50 with proceeds shared between the Arboretum and the Museum.
