The Remembrance Tree Trail

About the walk

The walk starts at the Memorial Park’s Park & Ride Car Park and follows the pathway around the perimeter of the park. It is a circular walk and passes by many trees planted after the First and Second World Wars. Trees have also been planted for personnel who have died in conflict since. There are memorial plaques for 678 trees.
The most outstanding trees in the park are the avenues of copper beech, magnificent oak trees, silver birches, beech trees and other varieties such as cherry trees.
