Woodland Walk in the Queen’s Inclosure

Join Havant Borough Tree Wardens for a walk in The Queen’s Inclosure, a remnant of the Forest of Bere managed by Forestry England.

The Queen’s Inclosure is described as a plantation on an ancient woodland site and covers 40 hectares (100 acres) of mainly oak with some yew, hazel and small numbers of other species. There are small areas of secondary woodland on the east and west edges. The habitat is classified in a 2001 biodiversity survey as semi-natural broadleaved woodland.

Accessibility details:

Not suitable for those with mobility issues. Parking in Park Lane (please do not park on the verge) or in Winscombe Avenue. Boots or stout shoes are recommended. The walk may be muddy in parts.
