Are you ready to #PlantForOurFuture?

National Tree Week is the UK’s largest annual tree celebration, running from Saturday 27 November to Sunday 5 December. Across the country, people will be planting thousands of trees to mark the start of the winter tree planting season. How are you getting involved?

Plant a tree with us!

Trees and hedgerows are some of the most powerful tools we have in the fight against climate change. And the good news is that we can all make a difference by planting a tree! Whether you plant a tree in a pot on your doorstep, a hedge in your garden or organise a community event at a local park, every tree will help us grow a greener future together. Download our tree planting guide to find out more about what tree to choose, where to plant and how to do it!

If you want to plant as part of a team, why not get in touch with your local Tree Warden Network and find out whether they’re organising any planting events near you?

Join in with an event

Wherever you are in the country, you can get involved in National Tree Week by signing up for one of our amazing free webinarsGet ready to #PlantForOurFuture by learning all about tree planting from our resident tree expert Jon Stokes, or join our session with the Oxford Botanic Gardens to find out more about mistletoe – is it a friend or a foe? Register for free now and find out more about some of the exciting events our partners are organising

Give the gift of a greener future

If you’re not able to plant a tree yourself, don’t worry – The Tree Council can plant one for you! By donating £15, you’ll be helping us to plant a new tree or metre of hedgerow and take care of it afterwards. However much you’re able to give, your generosity will mean that we can continue to work together for the love of trees and create a tree-filled future for all of us.

Get ready for National Tree Week with our Story in Nature competition!

Ahead of National Tree Week, we’ve joined forces with The Week Junior Science+Nature to launch an exciting children’s writing competition. Open to children across the UK aged 8 to 15, it’s the perfect opportunity to get creative for nature.

Getting involved…

Around the country, volunteer Tree Wardens and other champions of local trees will be holding tree planting events to celebrate National Tree Week: The UK’s largest annual tree celebration! Check back nearer the time using our calendar’s map tab to find out what is happening in your local area.
