About the network:

The RBWM Tree Warden Group has around 50 members from across the Borough with a core of 10 quite active members. The Group was formally constituted in June 2002 and runs with a small committee including two representatives from the Council.

Meetings are held regularly and events are promoted through mail shots and posters.

The group encourages Walk in the Woods activities, planting during National Tree Week and seedy activities during Seed Gathering month. The Group has run a project growing ‘Oaks for Folks’ from acorns, involving the community and some schools and has also undertaken a living willow project. The main interests of current members are in interpretation, awareness and education about trees but there are good opportunities for much more planting in the Borough over coming years. The Borough is very keen to welcome new members, please contact the coordinator for more information.
