Wallacefield Hedge Planting Days
Saturday 29th November 2025 | 10am – 3pm
Sunday 30th November 2025 | 10am – 3pm
Join People Plant Trees for three days of hands-on hedge planting at Wallacefield, part of Susan’s Farm CIO – a charity creating learning opportunities on their organic, pasture-for-life farm.
Together we will:
- Plant new hedgerows to enhance the organic farming system
- Care for the young hedges we planted last year
- Remove plastic guards from hedges planted around five years ago
Why it matters:
The hedgerows we create will provide vital shade, shelter, and forage for livestock, and support a thriving, biodiverse ecosystem. Native species will offer food, pollen, nectar, and nesting sites for a wide range of wildlife — showcasing the power of collective action in building a greener, healthier future.
What to bring:
- Warm, waterproof clothing
- Wellies or sturdy boots
- Packed Lunch and Drinking Water
What will be provided:
- Tools and gloves
- Hot drinks and cakes on arrival and at lunch
- A sheltered area to have lunch
- Friendly guidance and plenty of encouragement!
Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or brand new to tree and hedge planting, we’d love you to join us.
