Event 22nd November  to plant 24fruit trees on the King George VI playing fields
It’s a meaningful legacy that reflects King Charles’s values around sustainability, nature, and community. By planting trees that will grow and bear fruit for generations, we’re contributing to environmental stewardship, biodiversity, and the fight against climate change. It’s also a space for everyone—a place to gather, learn, celebrate, and take pride  together. From school visits and seasonal festivals to quiet moments under the branches, the orchard will be full of life.
Rather than a statue or plaque, this will be a living, breathing monument to a historic moment—one that grows stronger with each passing year.
